Covering Letter for Previous earning. Please Verify

Post by hsmp_apr2010 » Wed Apr 21, 2010 5:54 am

Hi,

Please can you verify my covering letter for past earning. I am asking your inputs specifically because my earning are from two different countries(UK and India).

PAST EARNINGS EXPLANATION

• Points Claimed : 30
• Gross Salary Earned: £ 50,040.54
• Salary Band: £50,000 - £54,999
• Country of Earning: UK & India

I would like to bring in your kind notice that I have worked for only one employer during last 12 months. Salary explanation is as below:

Period claimed: - 1st April 2009 to 31st March 2010 (12 Months)

I have undertaken work from two countries during the above period while being with XXXX company. I worked:-

a) In UK from 1st April 2009 to 31st August 2009
During the above mentioned claim period I was seconded to UK from my current Indian employer. Therefore, my earning for this period, which was in British Pounds (GBP), should be assessed against Band A.

As mentioned in the guidance notes, I am submitting the following evidences of earning from two different sources, for the above mentioned 5 months of claim period:

1. Payslips: The pay slips are sealed and stamped by the employer.
2. Original Bank Statement showing the said amount deposited into my bank account.

b) In India from 1st September to 31st March
During the above mentioned claim period I worked in India and hence my earning for this period, which was in Indian Rupees, should be assessed against Band D.

On the last day of my claim period, which was 31 March ’10, the closing spot exchange rate as per Oanda.com (http://www.oanda.com/convert/classic) is 1 INR = 0.01475 GBP (Oanda printout attached)
As per guidance notes uplift ratio for India (Band D) is 5.3.

Therefore, after applying uplift ratio (5.3) and exchange rate (0.01475), I have converted my Indian gross earning into pounds sterling.

As mentioned in the guidance notes, I am submitting the following evidences of earning from two different sources, for the above mentioned 7 months of claim period:

1. Payslips: The pay slips are sealed and stamped by the employer.
2. Original Bank Statement showing the said amount deposited into my bank account.
