You may be able to apply for a EEA Family permit (free of charge) because your son is a EU national. Otherwise a regular UK visiting visa (fee charged) will be applicable to you.

Also, are you recognised as the child's father on his birth certificate? If you and the child's mother are separated/divorced, do you have permission to travel alone with him or shared legal custody of your son?

Unfortunately the OP doesn't qualify for an EEA family permit, but would be issued an entry clearance, which is mandatory .

Just for reference purposes, do you have a link pointing to this?

This Link, which i provided above is the reference point.

People under this category, are covered by Paragraph 257C of the immigration rules as opposed to the EEA regulations.

Their rights was confirmed in the Chen ruling, but it is not on par with that of family members of EEA nationals

Thanks very much for your response i am actually the mother of the kid !

If i may understand now, i need to ask for the application form under 257C of immigration rules : http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/polic ... les/part7/

Is it correct ?

Should i ask for this clearance form from the embassy in paris or should i ask at the border ?

For the father we are in good relationship no problem. I'm living and working in france. Voilà !
