Secondment for WP Holder

Post by kububeach » Tue Apr 27, 2010 7:18 pm

Hi All,

I would really appreciate if you can share your experience on secondment issue. My girlfriend has been asked by her company to do secondment in other country. She will still have to work part of the time in London office as well but she will spend most of the time at her company's client as consultant. Her company will still pay her and she will be on UK payroll (paying UK taxes and NI).

HR dept at her company just mentioned that she is not allowed to do secondment by UKBA. Is this true?

Many thanks in advance for any advice.

Thanks for your reply. I have seen the link that you've posted. Actually, she calles the office yesterday and they didn't really give clear answer. The thing is that she will not change role or anything, she will still in the UK payroll, registered as employee at the same company, same address. The only difference is that she will be assisting the clients abroad at least three weeks in a month.
