FEDERATION OF RHODESIA & NYASALAND PASSPORT RECORDS

I was born in Southern Rhodesia in 1947
My farther was born in Southern Rhodesia in 1905

I have both un-abridged birth certificates

In 1962 0r 1963 I was issued with a British passport issued in the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland (which I have lost)

When Rhodesia declared UDI the British passport office packed up and left Salisbury and I believe that they took all the records with them so I could not renew this passport

I am now trying to obtain a British passport but having problems

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the Federation passport

A bit of a long shot, but you could try the National Archives at Kew. Have a look at this link, and see if any of it makes sense:-

I am not sure how I can see any claim to Citizenship of the UK & Colonies based on the British Nationality Act 1948.
