Visitor visa for parents, but dad retiring soon

Post by rich_qwer » Sun May 02, 2010 10:46 pm

I live in the UK and am about to sponsor my parents visitor visa to the UK for a few months. My dad works for the central govt in India and is about to retire in 1 month. They are planning to visit UK after Dad's retirement. Could anybody please advise if it will be a problem for the visa as Dad is retiring soon? Is it better to apply for the visa before he retires or after?
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

While your dad's in service, he will need an NOC from his office to apply for his visa. Other than that, it doesn't make any difference when he applies for the visa.
