Changing representative during the appeal process

Post by dazzle » Mon May 03, 2010 11:40 am

Are there any particular disadvantages to changing appeal representative after an appeal has been lodged? I guess that the AIT and the BHC will need to be informed. Would the present advisor forward the documents to a new one, or would I need to start sending a fresh batch?

Best way to ensure that everything goes smoothly is to go to your old advisor and collect you file, now go to your new advisor and hand him the file and they will write to ait that they are now acting as your representatives. If you happen to be outsite UK, then you can simply send an authority letter to your new advisor to get the file from your old advisor.
