Are they elligible?

Post by nnkhan99 » Mon Apr 26, 2010 11:05 am

My sister got her citizenship after her first daughter was born in 2005. Now she has another daughter born in 2007.Since they have a Pakistani dad and were living in Pakistan, they got Pakistani nationality.

Is it possible for my sister to obtain British nationality for her children? She now resides in UAE.

We have always had British overseas citizenship through ancestary and changed our status to British citizens a few years back.

Thanks in advance.

Where was her first daughter born? If she was born in the UK, see query about new born whose parents having ILR.

Her second child is British, if child was born after her mother was naturalised.

Both her daughters were born in Pakistan. The second was born after my sister got her citizenship. She has read somewhere that her second daughter can only get british nationality if they live in UK for three years because my sister got british citizenship through ancestary. Is this true?
