Hi

I have finally got citizenship approved.
now I am thinking going to Germany to study a language for a couple of month. my ceremony is 20th May and apply passport on the same day.
Go to germany has to be 27th 0r 28th June
Do you think I will get passport before?
looking at the time line, it takes about 20-25days

AlsoI will have no fixed address in the UK(I certainly can ask my friend in the UK though) during the study also I might stay a little bit longer.
I might have any problem with that?(because I am new citizen and app said '' intention of staying in the UK'')

Finally I saw some tax refund when you leave the UK, though I am leaving temporary am I entitled to get this tax refund?

Thanks

Be prepared and make your passport application on the same day you get your BC. You will probably get it by 27th, but no one can guaranteee that. I am not an expert on tax matters, but if you are not in UK for a certain number of days (its 183 days i think) during a tax year then you might get tax refund. But its not as easy as ringing a number and getting your money back.

You're unlikely to get your passport in time, even if you send the application on the same day as you are granted BC, as every first time passport applicant has to attend an interview before issue.

he will have one month and 7 days between getting his BC and travelling out of UK. by reading so many posts about passport turn around times including interviews, it seems that he will probably manage to get the passport in time. but again, there is no guarantee.

Equally remember that we are coming into passport 'high season' where people apply in advance of the summer holidays - it elongates any timelines which have previously seemed reasonable.

if you see my post, and then MPH80s post, then you should get the idea of what we are trying to say. It probably will come through, but no one can guarantee you that. which countrys passport do you now hold?
