HSMP extension - Question on dependant proof of address

Post by hsmpquestion » Wed May 19, 2010 12:22 am

Hi

I will be applying for HSMP extension and switching to Tier 1. I am happy with my documentation except at one point. My wife isnt working here. For the dependant application, the guidance document states following:
An applicant over the age of 16 should submit the following documentation in support of his/105. her application:
Two items from the list below confirming the applicant’s residential address:
bank statements; and/or
credit card bills; and/or
driving licence; and/or
NHS Registration document; and/or
letter from the applicant’s current school, college or university confirming the applicant’s address. This must be on official headed paper and bearing the official stamp of that organisation. It must have been issued by an authorised official of that organisation.
My wife and I have one joint bank account and thus have statements for that. However, I cannot provide second evidence as asked. No driving license or credit card bill to her name are present. BUT our EDF electricity account bills are in common name. Can such utility bills be submitted as proof of residence for her application? If not what should I consider doing?

Thanks in advance
