Switch from Tier1 (PSW)

Is it possible to switch from Tier 1 (PSW) to Tier 4 if I want to study a post graduate course or is it a hard thing to do?

Also, if its possible. Would I be able to switch back to Tier 1 (PSW) after I have finished my studies?

No, you can't switch back to Tier 1 PSW once yuo finish your studies, it's once in a life time! :)

Does anyone know what's the different between 'switch to student visa tier 4' and 'applying a new one'?

Switching = changing from one immigration category to another from within the UK.

In other words, someone in UK with leave to enter/remain in one immigration applying for leave to remain in another immigration category by submitting an in-country application.
