Naturalisation for spouse

Post by dublintogalway » Fri May 21, 2010 12:18 am

Hi Folks,

I am non eu working in ireland on working visa ( stamp4). My non eu spouse is having dependent visa ( stamp3) for last 5 years. I have few questions related to naturalisation application for my spouse ,as she has completed 5 years in ireland:-

1. Will it be ok to apply naturalisation for my spouse albeit she is dependent on me. She does not have her own source of income( so no P21, P60 etc..) .I have filled in option others in the section 10.1( means of support) in Form8 for naturalisation application? Will it be considered negative for naturalisation application as she does not have her own source of income?

2. Will it be ok for application albeit she does not have any payslips, P21 and P60 to submit with application. I will submit bank statement showing money in the joint account held by myself and spouse. Do I need to submit my own P60,P21 or payslips with my spouse application?

please clarify..

She will be OK, as long as she is/has not been in receipt of social welfare payment. We have many that have successfully naturalized as stamp 3 spouses on the forum.

Good luck to you and yours

Thanks 9jeirean.
In relation to my second question, Do i need to submit my own P21, P60 and salary slips as my spouse does not work? or can my spouse apply without giving P21,P60 and salary slip.

I do not think it is required, but you may all the same. BTW, any update re your naturalization re-application and your LTR acknowledgement?

Good luck mate.

No, she does not need your P21 etc with her application.

Thanks guys for replying.

9jeirean , Yeah I got my acknowledgement for naturalisation and LTR..so long wait is already started

By the way, I did not need to reapply for naturalisation, as it was registered in the first place.
