what is 10 yr long residence mean?

hi , i m new to all this.. i m not sure what is the criteria for 10 yr long residency.how do one qualify for 10 yr long residency,,,

Ten year stay in-country with no gaps in visa and all legal. I don't think time on diplomatic visa counts tho.
