HELP!! PWS --> Tire2 refused ( wrong code of practice )

Post by Isu » Wed May 26, 2010 2:17 pm

Hi All,
Please me and advice me what to do

Currently i'm working as a test engineer (doing QA jobs in a software company). When my employer issued sponsor certificate he selected wrong code -2128 i.e Quality control & planning (this code fit people who work in industries) also my salary is lower then whats mentioned in the code - 2128.

So i found another code -3115 which fit my salary and job profile.

But problem is my current job title i.e Test Engineer doesn't match with titles mentioned in code - 3115 but it matches what i'm currently doing.

My employer is ready to issue new certificate with correct code and ready to give a cover letter...that by mistake we have selected the wrong code and also describe my job profile....that though job title is test engineer but i'm doing what mentioned in code- 3115

On this basis can i re-apply...

Please guide me on this...Awaiting for reply from senior members

thanks in advance

IMHO you will need a new CoS - with the changes included.

Hi
Thanks for the prompt reply and advice.

I know that a new certificate is required but what about the job title. Should be same what we have currently i.e Test Engineer or can it be possible to change job title according to Code-3115.

OR we can just get new certificate with changes i.e correct job code and proper job description & same job title i.e Test Engineer.

Awaiting for reply.....

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure if you guys understood what the poster is trying to convey.

He knows that a new CoS has to be issued. But the issue is this.

His present job title is "Test Engineer". This titles corresponds to SoC codes 2129, 3113, 8133.

The descriptions for these codes do not match his job profile. Neither does Code 2128.

SoC code 3115 exactly matches his Job profile, but the list of titles for SoC code 3115 are:
1. Auditor, assurance, quality
2. Coordinator, assurance, quality
3. Coordinator, control, quality
4. Coordinator, QA
5. Coordinator, quality
6. Engineer, evaluation
7. Officer, assurance, quality
8. Officer, quality
9. Technician, assurance, quality
10. Technician, control, quality
11. Technician, ndt
12. Technician, quality
13. Technician, testing, non-destructive

The present Jop Title of the poster is Test Engineer. His question is what should the employer put in the Certificate of Sponsorship? Will Test Engineer be alright although they will select SoC code 3115 or should the employer change their Job Title to one of the 13 Titles listed above.

Perhaps OP didn't notice that this is an immigration forum and expert opinions on how to match skills with code and title or how to fill up CoS may not be available as this is not an immigration issue.

I am no expert in the matter, but shouldn't it (logically) be - job title matches job code matches salary?

Hi guys..

thanks to sushdmehta, batleykhan & sam for reply....

Guys i need more clarification....

From below HO link - http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... udyworker/

which say

"What documents you must send
You must send two pieces of evidence that you have worked for your sponsor for at least the last six months before you apply. (You do not need to have worked in the same job for the full six months.)

so what i guess is - important is working for 6 month for same employer and during these six months job title can be changed
