PSW to teir 2 General

Hi,

I am currently holding PSW visa and my visa is expiring Sep 2010. I am working with my current employer for more than 1 year and he is happy to help me to switching to Teir2 general visa.
According to my understanding I can earn 30 points for sponsorship and no need to advertise and labour market test. Am I correct?
As my salary is £20,000 have required 50 points.
As my employer is not much aware how to be a sponsor, can anyone pls explain me about how my employer can get sponsorship and certificate of sponsorship?
Actually where I am work is not a big company and only few are working. Is that a problem to get sponsorship?
