Did your wife inform the relevant authorities that she wass living with you and that you were working and declared your income?

If so, you're ok, if not, you could be in a spot of bother....

They need to know your income which will have the effect of reducing the benefit entitlement, you need to be sure if this. I'd have thought you'd have needed to fill a form in at least to notify them of the changes in household finances.

hammadcat, why are you shouting? On the internet posting in block capitals is equivalent to shouting, and on this board such posts are liable to be deleted without notice.

You say your wife is getting Pension Credit. Is that right? She is at least 60 years old? If that is right, and she is indeed claiming Pension Credit, has she told the Pension Credit office that she is living with you and and about your earnings?

If you don't mean Pension Credit, what do you mean? Tax Credits? If that is right, is the Tax Credits claim in joint names?

hammadcat, all those benefits are covered by para 6A of the Immigration Rules, and therefore there is no problem for you, as long as your wife is not claiming more such benefit because you are living with her.

However as you are working it is undoubtedly the case that she is actually getting less benefit .... compared to what she would be getting is you were not living there with her.

So that being the case .... no problem for you.
