I am apply for the dependent visa and have only one question before I could lodged the application..

I am in UK and applying for the dependent who is outside UK.

If I get my wife vaf1 visa approved how long she would have before she must enter in the UK.

Thanks

Well! according to new rules , she will get 2 years visa and ideally speaking , she has to travel in 28 days ( this is for ILR stuff and you can see allot of posts here regarding this issue) . She can come any time but she has to leave with you ( more time in UK ) to get extension and ILR cleared. No limits are specified on VISA
Thanks

And I take it, it only takes 4/5 weeks to get the visa approved...hmm in that case i will apply near the time of my visit to my country..

Hi,

yes , but some time a month or more depends on the time and place you will be applying ... in these days allot of people are moving to UK for visit ,TIER1 etc so you have to undertake all the parameters.
Thanks

Which rule is this ?

Aren't dependent visas issued for the duration of time the main applicant visa is valid ? The 2 year rule is for ILR not for the visa itself, no?
