I believe that that the HSMP caseworker has realised that "Work Experience" is the weakest link/vulnerable point open for abuse by HSMP applicants" (I believe most of people in this forum understand what I am referring here).
Thus, HSMP caseworker will also use this point according to their own perception and will award the point according to their own discretion or what they “BELIEVE”. It is the HSMP applicants own interest to make their case stronger. It is a good idea to submit as much evidence as possible such as Tax document, pay slips, etc whatever you have together with the Employment Reference Letter.
For “zzyy” please do not get me wrong I am not referring to your case as I am referring here as a general case that I have noticed/learnt in this forum. The majority of rejection comes from this side.

I have 5+ years of work experience as a full-time software engineer, so I should get score 35 in the work experience section.
But the reference from my 1st employer, whom I have worked for around 3 years, is very concise. I'm not sure whether the case worker thinks it's graduate level of job. Suppose the case worked does not think so, will he/she give me score 25 for the other 2+ years of experience?
