Enough points for what? HSMP? Or disqualification as a driver under the "totting up" procedure?

The points endorsed on your driving licence will be deducted from your HSMP points. So you'll need 71 HSMP points to qualify. Kapiche?

it could be hillarious to you but i think it is a genuine question.

well what i wanted to ask is if points in licence is a criminal/civil conviction?

OK, let's treat this seriously! The points on your licence ... how imposed? Did those points get there because of a Court? You got fined as well as having the points imposed?

Or were you issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice which gave rise to the points?

Less seriously ... but just to make the point (no pum intended) .... when you said "i do have enough points to apply though" .... just after talking about disqualification ... my question was real ... enough points for HSMP .... or enough points for disqualification? From what you wrote that is not at all clear.

thanks for replying

i have enough points to qualify for hsmp.

yes 6 points were thru magistrate court also i got £200 fine but no disqualification and the offence was driving without a valid insurance.

i only wanted to find out if this counts for civil/criminal conviction which might make me ineligible for hsmp.

thanks

It will not affect your actual HSMP application but may affect your FLR application as you are required to declare all your criminal offences.
