Bank statements for Tier 1 visa

Post by rng1234 » Sun Jun 13, 2010 7:26 pm

Hi - I am applying for a Tier 1 (postgraduate) visa and one of the requirements is bank statements showing minimum balance of £800.

My appointment is on 5 July and my bank statements of the required three month period are:

6 March - 5 April
6 April - 5 May
6 May - 5 June

So I am concenred that the last statement is 30 days old. I have been told that the documents/ bank statements need to be less than 30 days old.

I thought i might be able to get a print out of my bank balance from my bank to take with me (as my June - July) bank statement will not arrive by my appoinment date.

So plase can you advise me on:

1) Is my last bank statement (ending 5 June) sufficient or will there be an issue as it is on the dot 30 days old?

2) Can I take a print out from my bank to show my latest balance?

3) My bank (HSBC) does not stamp and sign print outs of bank statements. So this may not be acceptable for the visa. Is there a notary service I could use to verfiy the bank balance information?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

it is a issue, if you are not giving the bank statement for last 3 months..

call hsbc an change your statement date now and make it till 25 of june

so u will get it by 3 of july, u can take print out if u r applying inperson. so you can explain them. its not a big issue.

Hi rng1234,

I have just found myself in a similar situation as urself with HSBC (re: unstamped and unsigned branch statement copies) and wish to enquire as to how you went about this eventually and what the outcome of your application was?

Cheers.
