Indefinate leave to remain - What evidence iis required?

Post by chezza100 » Mon Jun 14, 2010 12:04 pm

Hi All

My Husband and I recently won our appeal for him to come to the UK and live with me on a settlement visa - we are extremely pleased and have started planning our future. :D

Ou lawyer advised that as soon as my Husband arrives we need to start collecting evidence for his Indefinate leave to remain application in 2012.

I understand documents such as joint bank account statements and council tax evidence are very good items but I have scanned the net and can't find any list of other good things to include.

Please can anybody offer some advice on what else may be good evidence to collect?

Thank you.

:D :D

Utility bills and anything official really (NHS). Anything that's not classed as junk mail.
I tell it like it is.

Any Documents from the :

1. NHS ( Doctors card, pregnancy documents etc)
2. Local Council - Voting papers/ Council Tax or any other letter addressed to you or your hubby
3 Letter from Employment benefits office - applying for National Insurance Number etc.
4. Letters and statements from bank about loans/mortgages etc
5 Utility Bills in joint names
6.Letter/contract of employment, applications for jobs etc
7. HM Tax Office - p60's, tax coding etc
8 Official Government Depts such as applying for Driving license, theory/driving test documents

Remember that you will need at least 6 diiferent documents in either joint names or individual ones for both of you spread over 2 yrs.

Hope that helps
