When is "work" NOT work?

Post by PAUL250268 » Tue Mar 14, 2006 9:50 am

Dear All

A familiar story I know...................

Met a girl from Texas and want to spend more time with her.

Question :

on the VWP can I hold meetings with U.S. companies and introduce a U.S. product?

I can support myself financially so I do NOT need to receive payment, of any kind.

The plan is, if all goes well, we marry in about 1 year. Then I will work for the U.S. company full-time and receive payment.

I've looked into H1B - not fast enough and L1-A - possibly too complicated.

I just want to "try it out" for a few months in a realistic environment. i.e. having to work as well as develop a relationship.

Ideas please?

Thanks

Paul
