Insufficient fund for post study working visa. Need help!!!

Post by mv226 » Sat Jun 12, 2010 1:41 am

:(
I am having an urgent problem with maintainance fund for visa.
Visa expired: 18/08/2010
Period of fund : 01/05/2010 to 01/08/2010
On 1st May, I did put 1000 pound in my bank account. However, on 11/06/2010, I by mistake did the online transaction of the amount around my 2 bank accounts. But by the end of the day, I still have 1000 in the saving bank account which is aimed for visa apply.
Eg:
From 01/05/2010 to 10/06/2010 : Account ballance: 1000 Pound
1) On 11/06/2010: Paid out 1000 Pound. --> Account ballance: 0 Pound
2) On 11/06/2010: Paid in 1000 Pound. --> Account ballance: 1000 Pound
---> summary: by the end of 11/06/2010: Account ballance: 1000 Pound

I am so worry because I don't know if it does affect my applying or not.
I really need some advice. What should I do?
Many thanks in advance.

It would definitely affect your application if the transaction is shown on your bank statements..

get a statement in writing. see if those online transactions are mentioned in your statement. if yes, than im sorry you will not be able to have enough maintenance points. if not, you are all good

I thought the requirement is to have a certain amount of fund each DAY, not at all times?
Could someone clarify this please?

I also have an account which can be said to be dormant ie. if I print out the statement, it won't show much although the amount in the account is sufficient for the maintenance fund required. Will this account be acceptable to be used in applying? Will the lack of 'activity' shown in this statement raise some suspicions?

Also correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I've read in the UKBA website, you also need a letter from your bank in addition to the statements right?

Cheers!

1) The fund should be at all times..
2) Your second bank account should be fine. It doesn't matter if you haven't made any transactions.
3) If the bank statements are fine, then a letter would not be needed. If you are using the dormant bank account I would suggest getting a letter too.
