April-$228.51

UK:-June 2009 to August 2009 (was also earning in INR during this period which is mentioned below)

June-GBP 4242.13
July-GBP 2859.07
August-GBP 2850.07

India:-June 2009 to May 2010

June-INR 18493
July-INR 28139
August-INR 18493
September-INR 43691
October-INR 52377
November-INR 24677
Decemebr-INR 19754

Jan 2010-INR 29135
feb-2010-INR 19754
March-INR 19754
April-INR 53144

I have spoken to an agent abt the prorata conversion n she says the USD would be converted as is (1:1 exchange rate )

Can someone help me with the calculation of points because m very confused of the multiple currency earnings...How do u do the prorata calculation?

Thanks so much in Advance

First of all your earnings will not be calculated on pro-rata basis. Only your actual earnings will be calculated.

" 106. We will only consider actual earnings. We will never consider earnings claimed on a pro rata basis (for example when the applicant has worked part-time and tries to claim for what he/she might have earned if the work had been full-time)."

Total Earnings US: $20566.57 = £ 13481.1 (exchange rate on 30.04.2010)
Total Earnings UK: £9951.27
Total Earnings India: Rs. 379714 = £5570.26 (exch rate on 31.05.2010)

Total Earnings = £29002.63

"132. The country in which the applicant has physically undertaken the work, rather than his/her nationality, the currency payment is made in or the country in which payment is made, determines the income band against which we will assess the earnings."

The above calculation is assuming you were in US when earned $ and Uk when earned £.

Please let me know if I made any mistakes in calculating the above.

Oh and if you were in India physically in the months of sept and oct 09, then I think you can use the uplift ratio of 5.3 for those two months' earnings. Others pls confirm.

Thanks aruni4470 for your reply.

So what your saying is I can only claim points for the earnings where I was physically present.

I am physically present:
in UK from June 2009 to August 2009
in India from September 2009 to October 2009
in US from November 2009 to March 2010
in India in April 2010 to May 2010

Also, just wanted to check from the education perspective would Post Graduation Diploma in Computer Application [PGDCA] ( 1 years course) be acceptable to add points.

Guys please help with a solution I am totally messed in confusion!!! :?

You can claim points for earnings in India when you were physically present in UK or US but, will not be able to apply the uplift ratio for these earnings.
Check your education qualification in the PBS calculator and see how many points it awards.
