how and where to contact to claim benefits

hi to all :) i am in uk since 5 years have ilr but never claim any benefit my whole lyf...but now when i am trying for baby hence not working ,my gp tell my husband that his back muscles are ruptured :cry: and hes not fit to work as security n taxi driver. :cry: ....so he is off from work and taking ssp :cry: but we cannot live like that for long so apart from council house,job seeker allowance what type of benefits we can claim and from where and how?what proof we have to show becides gp certificate?and does it effect on my british citizenship i am going to apply after few months?thanks so much in advance.... :idea:

If you have ILR you are entitled to claim all the same benefits as a british citized would and it wont effect your claim to British Citizenship.
