Hi All,
This forum helped me a lot in the application of my wife's dependant visa. So I thought it's time to share my experience so others can benifit from it. I am on HSMP/Tier1 (G) from last three and half year.
I got married last month. My wife's visa was rejected first time but approved second time.
We did court marriage a week before our actual marriage ceremony. My wife applied for her visa straight after the court marriage so we didn't have any marriage photographs available at that time. In the first instance, I submitted Marriage certificate as relationship evidence along with bank statement, payslips, accomodation letter etc. My wife's visa got rejected saying that only marriage certificate is not good enough evidence of your relationship. I have to submit other proofs such as marriage photographs, joint bank account statement etc. ECO said he is not convinced that our relationship is subsisting !! As per PBS dependant policy, marriage certificate is good enough evidence to prove relationship !!??
But Anyways, She applied second time with all the documents they required. She submitted Marriage Certificate, Marriage Photographs, Engagement Photographs, Print out of Phone call bills made from UK to India & a letter explaining history of relationship along with Bank statements, payslips, P60, Tenancy agreement and NOC from estate agent. Her visa got approved in two weeks time.
If anyone wants to know any other info. pls. let me know.
