fiance visa application, is it best to hire a lawyer?

my fiance is in usa and we have finaly decided after 3 years thats she should come to the uk on a fiance visa. Im daunted by the application. my question is,,,is it best just to pay someone who knows what they are doing to fill out all relevant forms ? there seems to be many companies offering this service, but are some better than others and how do i go about choosing the right one?

No the form is absolutely straight forward there is no need to pay anyone. The questions it asks are questions pretty much only you would know the answers to so whoever would fill it out for you will still need you to answer everything. Otherwise they might make a mistake which can mess up your future greatly.
