A student can switch to dependant of Tier 4 student?

Post by jaberdene » Sun Jun 27, 2010 1:30 pm

Hi,

Ive been granted 3 years student visa (Not Tier 4) from April-2007 to Aug-2010. My wife and son are in UK with me with student dependant visas as well. So what I want now is send my wife to my home country and has her applied Tier 4 student visa for 1.5 years. As soon as she gets (hopefully) Tier 4 student visa she'll back UK and, me and my son will apply as Tier 4 student's dependants. Is it possible?

At the end of the day the question is a student (not tier 4) can switch to dependant of Tier 4 student inside UK?

Thanks in advance
JE

in this case, Can my son who has dependant visa apply inside UK as dependant of my wife if she'll get Tier 4 student visa in my home country?

Notes: My son and my wife entered UK as my dependants in 2007, but my son's name is written on my wife's visa sticker as her dependant?
In 2008, they extended their visa as my dependants for two years.

any help would be appriciate,
Cheers
