bank statement - incomplete coverage

Post by lichung » Wed Jun 30, 2010 12:46 am

I am with Lloyds and I don't know if my bank statement is acceptable for my tier 1 application.

The account summary of my bank statement of May has got the following:
Statement sheet number 58
Balance On 16 April 2010 £xxxx
Balance On 10 May 2010 £xxxx

For my statement in June it's got:
Statement sheet number 59
Balance On 14 May 2010 £xxxx
Balance On 14 June 2010 £xxxx

My concern is, there is a gap between 10th to 14th May which I have got no transaction in between. Will Home Office accept these bank statements base on the fact that they issued consecutively?

Yes you should be fine as your statement sheet number 59 would clearly show carry forward balance from 10th of May.
Even if it doesn't your sheet number tells the story that there was no transaction and balance didn't go down
Goodluck.

well the first transaction on the June bank statement says:

14 May 10 Balance Brought Forward £xxxxxxx

It's not 10th May but 14th May - that's why I think there is a disconnection between 10th and 14th.

I know Home Office is very strict about bank statement so I don't want to risk anything.....
