How do I get payslips attested from the employer

Post by robinhood » Tue Jun 29, 2010 3:21 pm

Whats the smarter way of asking my employer to attest my payslip. I do not want the employer to know that I am applying for Tier 1..

My payslips are on company headed paper with the companies logo on the top left hand corner. We get hard copies of the payslips and they are also available on the intranet. In that case, do I still need to get them attested by the employer?

Hmm.. we face these issues all the time. If they are ready to attest get it from them. you can mention that you are taking loan and bank needs it.

My personal experience: I submitted the payslips which had my company name, logo, my name, employee number, payment month. I took color copies of my payslips and submitted without any attestation and had no issues .

As you mentioned that your payslips have company logo and come in company headed paper, I don't think you need to worry too much, IF HR DECLINED TO DO SO. (Give it a try mate.. nothing to loose).

as long as your payslips are on headed paper you don't need to get them signed/stamped. please refer to policy guidance

Code: Select all

i) Payslips: These should be either formal payslips or on company headed paper. Where formal payslips are produced on plain paper they must be stamped and signed by the employer. Payslips which are not on headed paper or the applicant receives all pay slips online, he/she must authenticate the evidence by asking the employer to sign and stamp a printout.
If the applicant provides payslips, they must cover the whole period claimed (for example, if payslips are produced monthly, the applicant must provide the payslip for each month of the period claimed).

Thanks ID for pointing this out.

I somehow missed the point that they were in hard copy from the original post. Apologies for the same.

Do understand that if the pay slip has logo, address, employee id, and all other details and is electronically generated (downloaded online from intranet) , i believe you need to attest it.
Again, depends on the case worker who is processing this.

Hi folks,

thanks for your replies..here's some more info..checked my payslips and they have the company logo and address, emp no, my designation, but they are not coloured..

Now If i have to get these attested, I was thinking, I will give a reason that I need these as I am sponsoring my brothers education abroad..would this be a valid enough or convincing enough reason..any other ideas you guys can suggest?

thanks.
