Hello everyone,
I am scheduled to join a company in London this July. I recently applied for a Tier 2 (General) visa with a CoS no. from the company. A couple of days ago I collected my passport and found out that I have been given a Tier 2 (ICT - Intra Company Transfer) Established Staff visa instead.
This is clearly the incorrect visa for me as I have not joined this company yet and the ICT visa is for people who are already working for a company and changing location to the UK.
I am certain that I have applied for the Tier 2 (General) category and there seems to be no mistake from my side in the visa application.
I am unfortunately in a bit of a rush because my training programme with the company starts in 2 weeks. However, I am keen to fly to the UK only with the correct visa / documentation because being refused entry to the UK could prove risky for the future.
Any suggestions on how this can be rectified? I am currently resident in New Delhi and I made my application from here.
Thanks
