Starting a limited company while on spouse visa

Post by ranadip » Wed Jul 14, 2010 7:59 pm

Hi,
Can one start a business by forming a private limited company while on a spouse (of a british national) visa? The visa does not put any restriction on work, does that mean forming a company and working for it is allowed?
Thanks,
Ranadip

I believe you are allowed to form and work for your own company

ranadip, as f2k says, no problem you forming a company, being a shareholder in it, and being a Director of it.

Thanks f2k and John for the superfast response, really appreciated.
On a different note, I just realised I posted the question under a wrong section (ILR). My apologies, it was unintentional.
