Secret Amnesty?

Post by juliajules1979 » Thu Jul 22, 2010 1:10 pm

Hi

I dont know if any of the moderators know anything about this but there has been a lot of people granted ILR after being in the UK for 5,6,7,8,9 etc years. All the people I know are people who were previously refused asylum, not granted work permission but continued to live in the UK with the hope of an amnesty.

It looks like it has arrived.....??

Anybody else heard of this

I have lots of friends who have recieved their ILR over the last few months, also friends of their friends have also recieved it.

It spans different nationalities, not just one in particular. I wonder if they are moving people through the system before they make the changes to the current ILR system?

Now that you mention it, I actually know a lot of people who have been waiting for years and have been granted ILR over the last few months. That's so scary, as one wonders what rule changes they have in store for some of us. :? :?

Maybe because lots of people try to get in before the policy changes and it's built up such a massive backlog again that they're gonna miss their targets.

So they volunteer to work longer hours to preserve their reputation. Oh yes, what reputation? Totally forgot who i was talking about :P
