Hi Guys,
If anyone can give me an idea on this....
I applied for Tier-1 initial applications before the changes as on 19th July. I had enough points and my application was straight forward without any complications. Unfortunately, my application was rejected due to the problem with the payment even though I had enough money on my account (debit card). I have contacted my Bank about this payment issue; they say that they have authorized the payment request on the first attempt and sent the payment, but the immigration office did not follow the usual process to complete that transaction (Bank says, there may be a problem with their payment terminal). After one hour, the immigration office attempted to take the payment 2nd time when that money was reserved for their first payment request. The Bank has rejected this attempt as there is not enough money. Similarly, they attempted 3rd time after 20 mins and it also has been rejected by the Bank. After three days, the reserved money for the 1st payment request was returned to my account as it hasn't been completed by the immigration office.
The result was...my application has been rejected due to this payment problem and they sent a letter to make a fresh application. When I apply again, It'll be considered under the current rule (100 points required) and I can earn only 95 points (which was applicable before 19th July).
This is an exceptional case that I did not expect to happen. Can I appeal? I afraid that it'll take a long time to get a reply from them.
Thanks in advance
