Accommodation Proof letter - Urgent

Post by abhishek10 » Tue Jul 27, 2010 8:28 am

Hello All
My nams is Abhishek and I am IT professional working in India. I am planning to apply for Tier 1 (General) visa in the next few days. One of the letters asked by the VFS officer was an accommodation proof in UK. I have relatives in UK and I'd be staying with them but I was wondering if there's some format which is available with one of you folks for this purpose.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much!!

Read the policy guidelines, there is really no need to submit an accommodation proof for the Tier 1 General Migrant Visa.

However, if you do want to submit it, search this forum and you'll find one.

No, you don't need to. Its not necessary.
If VFS guys tells you, just tell them you have no intention of immediate travel to UK and would have your accommodation sorted out if I travel in future.

You can tell them that it is not mentioned in the policy guidelines.

VFS is a service provider, liaison between the applicant and BHC , hence they never demand the documents. In the interest of the individual applicant it might be asked so that the chances of a successful application are high.

Neither is this requirement in the policy guidance nor is this stated in the immigration rules (245C).
