It's hard to get a US visa! It takes a good 8-10 months to get it. So that alone makes it harder as you have to be apart for ages.dowyn wrote:hi in new on here and dont know much about immigration laws ive tryed reading lots of stuff on the net but doesnt seem to make much sense.
ok im with a girl from the u.s.a and we have been together 2 years ive been to see her in the us and she as been here to see me we want to get married here in the uk but she doesnt want to stay here she as 2 kids so im going there i was told its easyer to get in to the u.s if we marry in the uk and she aplays from me to go there. is this true and if so what do we need to do any advice would mean a lot to us

She can come to the uk on a marriage visitor visa if you want to marry in the uk. Otherwise you can just go to the US and marry on the visa waiver. Don't lie at the border. Just make sure you have a lot of evidence that will prove you will return to the uk after the wedding. It's perfectly legal to do this.
You need to show evidence of one or more of the following: Employment, property ownership, enrollment in university/college, etc... Basically anything that proves that you have strong ties to the UK and won't overstay in the US.
