language requirement for dependant visa??

Is there any language requirement for dependant visa, when the main applicant is applying for tier2 general category. The new regulation of A1 grade of language requirement for dependant is in function at present or it will take some time to be on ground? What is A1 grade?

i think it is only for dependents of settled workers, not temporary workers with limited leave to remain. wait for reply from a senior member.

thanks for the reply, I also agree with you that it is applied for the settled worker, because if you see the eligibility for dependants under tier 2 general category, there is no such requirement. Also, the english language requirement for the dependant of settled workers will be applicable from 1st nov or so. In PBS dependant form they haven't asked for any language requirement. Dear Moderator correct me if I am wrong.
