Brazillian Tourist Visa...

Post by Boludo » Wed Aug 04, 2010 11:51 pm

Hi, I have a friend in Brasil who wants to come and study English in the UK for 2 months and go sightseeing in London for a few days before her course starts. She's worried though that because she is young (25) and not married that this will affect her chances of being allowed into the UK, as she had a visa application to travel in the US rejected recently.

Apparently she's read about other Brazillians having bad experiences here with immigration, and not being allowed to enter the country once their flight has landed. Is this true? I'm not too clued up on how things work but I can't imagine something like that to happen if she has proof from the school she will study at that she is here to do just that, study.

I just wanted to ask here because I'm far from in the know and wanted to clarify things and try and put her mind at rest.
