Dear all
I am an eea national. My sister is a student .She got a student visa .she is living with me in the uk.She applied last week of february 2010 for a resident card as my extended family member.she already received coa.but till now she is waiting for the outcome of her application.when she sent her application then I sent my passport together her passport and documents.Few weeks before i requested to HO for my passport back and i received my passport from HO.But until now they did not write me for return my passport. My sister passport still they are holding. So now my question ,is it possibility to get RC ?Because nearly 6 months. My sister sent all document which they needed.

If it's not yet six months since your sister applied, the UKBA are working within the limit.

Was your sister dependant on you or a member of your household in the country from which she came?

Shouldn't be a problem then, so long as the above is documented. Wait the six months, or send a reminder letter just before the six months are up.

Your birth certificates are certainly enough proof of relationship. But are they enough proof of member of your household in third country? I don't think so!
If you do not have any other documents (ie. bills, mail, receipts, etc) addressed to your sister while you were living together in a third country, your application may take a tad longer than six months, I'm afraid.
