Timeline after Bio is done - FLR - extension

Post by miofino » Mon Aug 09, 2010 2:12 pm

Hi everyone,

I am a new to this forum and I'm hoping you guys can help me.

I submitted FLR application in June because of my initial 2 years spouse visa was expiring in July.
I received a confirmation letter followed by another letter regarding Biometrics info. I was given 15 days to either making appointment at the Agency or at the post office to have my biometrics done - which I've done within the time limit.

Now it has been 2 weeks. Can anyone of you tell me what it the timeline after the Bio has been done before I can receive my passport back?

In any event that I decided to withdraw my application in order to have my passport back, I know that the fee will not be refunded and the application itself will be cancelled.

However, my previous Visa did expired last month. Will it be a problem at the departure if I seek to get my passport back now and travel outside of UK?

In such case, Could I present the receipt of my application and/or Bio letter to at the time of departure to show that I did apply for FLR but had to cancel due to an urgent travel need?

I thank you for reading and your replies to my question.
