Question about Financial Support

Post by dmd887 » Tue Aug 10, 2010 3:11 am

This question is in regards to a friend. Their visa was rejected because they didn't hold the necessary funds, but now they are getting an agent to help them appeal and re-apply for the student visa. The person in question is going to get help from one of their relatives to satisfy the maintenance requirements, the relative is submitting all their bank statements and everything else to the agent to then be submitted to the UK Visa people. Also the relative in question is signing a letter of support, showing that they are willingly and knowingly supplying this money to the student (my friend). My question is will my friend's visa have a VERY GOOD chance of being approved this time? The relative has far above the required amount of funds and everything else with the visa application was perfect except for this issue with the funds.

Please reply and help me with any answers you have! THANK YOU!!!!!!

I guess a much simpler way to phrase the question would be "Can a relative financially support you for a tier-4 visa or not?"

The only way to properly do this , is to transfer the funds to the student's account then let it cool for 28 days and apply again.
appeal takes at least 4-5 months and is likely to be turned down.

Seeing as you described your frnd's relative refusing to hand over the funds is a very bad sign and I'd say he has a VERY LOW chance of getting the decision turned.

I would stop the appeal by sending a fax and re-apply

P.S, Where did u apply?
