Hey,
I would like to know
1)if there is any benefit if you start to work in UK with Tier 1 visa? Do you get any redundancies if you find your first job in UK with Tier 1 visa, or you still need to pay taxes under 647L and that is around 22% of your salary.
2) Do you pay taxes from the 1st month of your work, or you can get some pause(for few months for example)?

Tax system and immigration are mutually exclusive. Your taxes will be calculated like everyone else working in the UK depending on your income source(s) and as per tax bands defined for the given financial year.

To substantiate what Sushdmehta correctly stated and to answer your queries

1. Yes, you can get redundancy pay if your role is no longer required and there is no more work for the role you play. If you are fired for NO reason, then you can contest this with your employer.
2. You pay taxes just as a standard UK Resident. Unfortunately, you do not get recourse to any public funds like jobless pay etc as you are on a Tier 1 visa which clearly states this. However, you do get Medical care under the NHS as per its laws which is quite good irrespective of what many may think.

The ORIGINAL idea of the Tier 1 was meant for really skilled workers to come to the UK, secure a decent job, work for a few years and then pave the way for permanent settlement in the UK. Unfortunately, the past few years has resulted in WAY too many Tier 1 visas issued and amidst the recession, the job market has reached saturation with a lot of Tier 1 visa holders competing with the traditional job hunters for jobs thus resulting in lower pays and even more difficulty in securing a role

Please, let me describe my situation to clarify the question i am interested in.
This is very important for me, so please if you know the answer reply me, and one more NOTE-SUGGEST ME ONLY LEGAL THINGS, I DON'T WANT TO DO ANY EVEN VERY SMALL ILLEGAL THING, i am just looking for some options.

I have got Tier 1 visa in 2010(just 1 month ago). There is some small UK company which is ready to hire me anytime i decide to move there.
So, what i exactly want is - to move over UK now, live and work for that company next 4 months, back to my country for next 4-5 months as i am going to be married , and after all that permanently move to UK and live there. I can still work for that company from my country - no problems.
So, if i understand correctly - if now i sign the contract with that company, get the tax code, then when i am back to my country for 4-5 months, i should still keep on paying that taxes though i am not in UK for those months. If i am right, then is there option not to sign that contract, not to get that tax code for this coming 4 months, work as business trip, and then when i move to live permanently in UK after ~ 1 year, i will sign that contract, get tax code and pay taxes.
To sum up - my question is, is it possible to work some 3-4 months as international worker and not to sign contract with that company and not to get tax code

You only pay taxes if you are earning money. So if you come here and work for 4 months then take a break for 4 months and then come back and work in the UK, your taxes will get cut as per what you earn. You will not pay additional tax for the 4 months you are busy getting married back home but not earning any salary

The tax system calculates your tax outgo by multiplying 1 months pay by 12. So once you are away for 4 months and come back to the UK, you will automatically be cut less in taxes as the system will compensate for the fact that you only worked for 4/5 of the last 8/9 months. Makes sense? This way, you are not overcharged so just go ahead and sign the contract and come here

Just remember if the company is so generous as to pay you full salary for the 4 months you are on Leave, then taxes will be cut as they should be and the system assumes you are just on a big paid vacation !!!

Now, if you plan to ONLY come to the UK for 4 months, then return home get married and work for the company based out of your home country, then the best thing is to get a Business Visa. I dont think Tier 2 visa is the right thing if you will only be here upto 5 months time.

EDIT - Just re-read and saw you have a Tier 1 - In that case you are legally allowed to do anything. There is no issue of working here for 4 months, taking a break even for 10months and then coming back and working again. You are a FREE man
