Need Help

Hi Guys,
I need some help in regards to Teir 2 (work permit).
I am currently on PWS and have been working in telecoms company for past 1 1/2 year.
And the company want to process my work permit.
Currently i am on 25k per annum and looking at 30k by the end of year.
After reading through UKBA website about Teir 2, i understood that i won't be needing to go through resident market test and straight away i would get COS.
And my wages more than match the job roles as mentioned by UKBA.
My empolyer wants to know what checks are done on the company, if anyone can throw some light on this, would be appreicated.
And could like to know any more info. which would help him in presenting it to my employer.
Secondly, the operation director is immigration but on HSMP, would it matter in my case ??
