could someone tell me how many days I could stay outside the UK on a spouse visa, my visa was issued 05/Aug/2010.

There is no limit for oversea stay on spouse visa although some people suggests not more then 90 days(which is wrong).

But for British citizenship there is a time limit and you have problem if you stayed more then 6 months in 3 years period(what are exact days?).

i submitted in lahore and so many employers do not get contacted so that is besides the point i have contacted my mp very early and he says will get final answer around 3 sep when my 12 weeks will be up so suggest you do the same

Yousafa has found out his wifes visa was issued because his MP chased it up. I think thats the only thing we can do now as well

it is highlt variable some take a day as they call by phone ,some take 10 working days by e mail while others like mine take 20 working days and when theses have passed they ask me for the dob,ref no so another 20 days wait

Hi All
My wife picked up the passport about 5 mins ago from Gerry Mirpur with Visa on it.Thanks To Allah.Visa was issued on 03/08.I would like say only one thing that after summitting the application when I joined this forum I really worried because there was no proof of contact between me&wife.no emails,no letters,no phone bill.I just enclosed 4 phone cards that's all but Mashallah still visa is granted.

Hi All

I received another reply this morning from STE.UKHUB to advise they can't give me a time for when my husbands passport will be ready for collection from Gerrys.

This general response frustrates me as I made it very clear he has not had his call letter yet to submit his passport so why would we be waiting for a call from Gerrys?

I've emailed back to say they have misunderstood my question so I wait to see if they reply.

No wonder there are heavy delays if they don't read things properly.

my mp is closed until 1st september.their answering machine states that the only way to get in touch is to write them a letter. I had to get another MP from another borough to help me out. She was really sweet and said she will try and get my MP to help me as i wasnt a part of her constituency/borough (the reason i thought i would try her was because i was actually born in her borough but bred up in the neighbouring borough)

Mp's are useless!! Il just have to wait patiently but a lot of people have heard when their decision was made on the 9th of august like mine. I think I will be hearing something in the next few days inshallah

has your status changed ready for collection, we applied at the same time and the decison made was the same date as well, im panicking of the worst now

no need to panick like they say no news is good news, im bit worried becoz my wife status has changed really quick "ready for collection". i assume either they refused her a visa and have no need to keep the documents any longer and that y the status has updated very quick, where as it takes a bit longer for the return of your passport it might be that the BHC has it in thier pile for Visa Stamping and thats y ppl are wating longer. I might be wrong but will find out this monday

Can blive it, all that waiting and finally that time is here...

Application made: 28th April 2010
Decision Made: 25th May 2010
Application ready for collection: 19th August 2010

Employment checks were not made as i am a DWP Employee, and i am self employed....

Have Sabar people your time will come soon inshallah...my duas are wid you all.

I know the waiting was getting v.difficult especially as it had been so long so really pleased ALLAH has chosen you today.

Delighted to for someperson who waited the longest out of all of us...i thought i was long at 16 weeks!!!!!

u have really made my day, i was going out of my mind thinking y a quick response for my wife to collect the document and not 4 u or yousafa, as we roughly had the same dates etc in our application. All the best in ur decision

Do not get stressed, i was contacted in my 10th week now im going to be on my 12th week, if i am right are you on your 11th week? they might contact you in your 11th week Inshallah! as you can see everybody is hearing good news now which is a big relieve...
