Stupid but worth asking !!!

Post by rakeysh.patel » Sat Aug 21, 2010 12:15 am

All,

Under Tier 1, I am not going to be eligible for PR before August 2011. Which means, by that time, the new PR rules will be in place. My only concern is, when I become eligible for PR as a 5 yr lawful UK resident under Tier 1, will I be bided by the New rules or there will be an transitional agreement in place for someone who is already in country? Hope it makes sense

Thanks,
R

Its difficult for people to give definitive answers at the moment. Wait till new rules are out.

No point in giving an answer without supporting information. The new immigration act has a provision for transitional arrangements and you can look at the text and verify if your case would be covered under the same but for a large majority of the applicants a definitive answer is not available until we see something in writing from HO.
