Requirements for Tourist/Dependent-mixed

Post by sadasreddy » Sat Aug 21, 2010 5:40 am

I am looking for guidance on my situation. Appreciate your help.

1. I have applied for a Tier 1 (Genaral) migrant and got stamping done. As on today both wife and I are in India.

2. At the time of my application I had funds for self only. So in VAF9 5a I have answered "Is your partner accompanying you or joining you later" ? as No.

3. Now I have few interview calls in hand and I am hoping I will get through. I am traveling to UK on 28th.

4. My wife wants to be with me but I do not want to spend another 50000 INR for her dependent application.

5. Instead I want to apply for Tourist Visa for her. Once I get a job return back to India, clear off things here and apply for a dependent Visa for her and go back to UK for JOB.

6. Now I am maintaining funds for self and dependent in my bank 2800+1600.

Here are my questions:
1. What are all the documents required for Visitor Visa ( She is working), both of us are in India as on today.

2. Since I have answered 'No ' for Section 5a, with enough funds, can I apply for dependent Visa for my wife ? It's only been 1 month since I applied mine.

3. Is there any conditions on me returning back to India again going back in a 4 weeks time ?

1. They might reject your wife's visitor visa application since you have a Tier 1 - I think they have done so in the past. Search the forum for more information.
2. Yes
3. No
