What will happen when my country join EU?

Well,

I'm Croatian citizen and have my first tier1 visa for next two years (sep-2012).

Croatia is in finalization period of negotiation with EU. Expects to receive joinment contract in spring 2010. Usually it take 1 - 1.5 year ... So I will experience one of two scenarios:

1. Croatia join EU 1-JUN-2012. (I have my visa until SEP-2012)

2. Croatia join EU 1-JAN-2013 (I have my visa until SEP-2012)

I read that EU will not cap or give any restrictions to Croatia (as to Romania and Bulgaria) as it will better repaired and it's very small country (4 mil.) of mostly 60+ year old. there is less then 900.000 of workers in whole country.

Non-EU nationals are required to have a valid visa to enter/remain in the UK. So until such day that you become a EU national, you'll continue to need a valid visa to remain in the UK.
