That does not matter, because you don't even have to submit the Urdu Nikkah Nama. You only need the english translation, that is what I submitted with my application, and got the visa.
Make sure that on the English Nikkah Nama (translation), you have the DOB written.
Hope this helps,
Regards
Rubbish really.Batleykhan, my aunt works at the BHC and she had told me that you do not need the urdu nikkah nama, it is just the english translation that is required.
You dont need to get stamp from foreign ministry at all.Now I would question yours ant knowledge. She is ignorant. You get the English translation stamped by your local council (Imam) does that for you, also have to get it stamped by the foreign ministry, etc. That's all.
Also to prove it further you may call gerrys and they would tell you the same thing that the Urdu original one is not a compulsion.
I am sorry to disagree with you Ehmud ( Ahmed). I accept the English speaking Entry Clearance Officer sitting in London may not be able to understand Urdu and that is why he will look the english translated version, but the original Urdu nikah nammah must be present with the documents as that is a legal and binding document and not your english translated version.................... unless you Ehmud are a Christian in which case the nikkah namamh is slightly different and that is in English only, but for the majority of Muslims applicants the Urdu one has to be provided, otherwise it will be an automatic refusal in a spousal visa application. The nikkah is the legal document that states you are married.ehmud555 wrote:Batleykhan, my aunt works at the BHC and she had told me that you do not need the urdu nikkah nama, it is just the english translation that is required.
