I've scoured this section for this topic, but can't seem to find anything on here, or any clear advice on UKBA website, so thought I'd turn to the forum.
A friend of mine (from Russia) is currently on a PSW visa and I've been looking into options for her to swich, as she holds a Master's degree obtained here in the UK and is quite confused about the whole process. Her current permission expires in April 2011.
So, I just wanted to know:
1. Is it even possible for her to switch categories?
2. Accommodation and savings etc aren't a problem, so she fits the criteria there, but would she fall under the 6-month employment rule at £20k? Or is it £30k?
3. She is on a continuing contract, with a view to go permanent, would this count towards the 6 months if she hasn't as yet been offered a permanent placement?
If anybody has a link that gives the criteria for this kind of switch, that would be mega-helpful!
