Contacting employees

Post by channaserver » Fri Aug 27, 2010 8:03 pm

Hi,

I submitted a Tier 2 application on August 9th, and still no word. The occupation is on the shortage list.

1) Is this long wait normal for shortage occupations?

2) Is it part of the procedure for the HO to contact the employer for additional details?

there are different time lines for different countries, check website of local British high commission for visa processing time. if u have applied on Aug 9th, it is too early to talk about it :P

Never mind. I got an email around 4pm local time stating that my UK visa has been issued. I should receive it in about 2 business days or so.

It took exactly 18 week days from August 9th to August 27th or 15 week days from the time it was received in New York (they received it on August 12th).

Thanks for the help, tho.
