Advice Please

Post by dub_dub » Mon Aug 23, 2010 5:51 pm

Hello Every body,
I am a Non EU and my wife is an EU citizen. I lives in Ireland. we got married in Denmark in 2004 but now we are separated and we are in Divorce process in Denmark but any time the Danish family law department communicate with me they send me letters in danish language, which is impossible for me to understand.
My question is : Does any body had similar experience ? OR Does any body knows any family law solicitor in Copenhagen ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards

Has your wife been living in Ireland with you all this time?

If not, and she is back in Denmark, then your residence card is invalid as it was on the conditions of your family member exercising her treaty rights.

If you have been married for more than 3 years, then you have an entitlement to reside in your own right as long as your are exercising treaty rights of your own.

You must inform DOJ EU treaty rights section of your change in circumstances ie: seperated and divorce proceedings or they could use it against you at a later stage.

Thanks very much for the replies.
Yes, i have informed GNIB the date when we were separated but haven't got any reply from GNIB yet. and yes i would be grateful if you could refer me any good family law or immigration lawyers in Copenhagen. my wife exercised her Treaty rights in Ireland since we were married.
My circumstances are bellow.
we were married more than 5 years and got first two stamp 4 for one year and than i got 4EUFAM for 5 years. so all together i am on stamp 4 for five years.
